Aegishjalmur "Helm of Awe" necklace


A necklace with the magic stave The helm of awe. Or as it's named in it's original language, Aegishjalmur. The stave or "rungald" was a magic symbol too defend one self and ward of intruders. Said to once have been stolen from Fafner.

The second picture shows the symbol written in an old manuscript (probably later viking age/ early middle age)

The Helm of Awe

I wore before the sons of men

In defense of my treasure;

Amongst all, I alone was strong,

I thought to myself,

For I found no power a match for my own.

Comes with chain with clasp end (length of chain vary but are often longer rather than short).
